W A Paterson was born in 1896 and attended the Glasgow School of Art in the first part of the 20th century. He exhibited at several galleries including P & J Fine Art, the Castlegait galleries and entered many works in the Royal Glasgow Institute, the Paisley Gallery & Museum and the Dick Institute in Kilmarnock.

Barbara Bowen was born in London but now lives in South East Essex. She studied for many years gaining a BA Hons in Fine Art and Diplomas in Art and Design, Photography and Portraiture. She has shown in many exhibitions, including two successful solo exhibitions at The Windmill, Rayleigh.

Francis Whittington is listed in the Dictionary of British Artists 1880-1940 but there is very little information given. We know he was a landscape who lived in Hampshire who exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1931 and that is all.
